Bakhodir Atakhanov headed the Center for Coordination and Development of the Securities Market of Uzbekistan (2012 - 2017, 2017 - 2019), was Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan (2017) and Executive Director of the Digital Economy Development Support Fund (2019). The Center for Securities Market Coordination and Development (1996 - 2019) was the authorized state body to regulate Uzbekistan's securities market. In January 2019, its powers, tasks and functions were transferred to the Capital Market Development Agency of Uzbekistan (ARRC). Since May 2021, ARRC is abolished, with the transfer of powers, tasks and functions to the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
