Roman Goryunov is one of the key architects of modern exchange infrastructure in Eurasia. He specializes in the development of trading, clearing, and settlement systems. For over 20 years, Roman has held senior leadership positions in exchange and financial market infrastructure development projects, including at RTS and the St. Petersburg Exchange. In these roles, he oversaw the launch and scaling of markets and products, led the implementation of technological solutions for capital market participants, and developed infrastructure that provided investors and professional participants from various countries with access to leading international trading venues, including the U.S. and Hong Kong markets.
Since 2023, Roman has been working with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) on the development of Kazakhstan’s financial market as a leading financial hub in Central Asia. Roman has served on the boards of directors of ITS Group and ITS CSD since their inception, contributing to the establishment of modern infrastructure for trading international securities.
